Hawkeyes Rise to 9th All-Time in 200-Medley Relay - Iowa Hawkeyes Athletics - Official Athletics Website

COLUMBUS, Ohio – University of Iowa swimming and diving kicked off day one of the Big Ten Championships on Wednesday afternoon inside the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

Only two events took place on Wednesday afternoon. Annie Galvin, Olivia Swalley, Rachel Dildine and Josie Hood led off the championship meet with a season-best performance in the 200-medley relay. The quartet clocked a 1:40.15 and posted Iowa’s 9th-fastest time in program history. Overall, the squad placed 13th.

In the 800-freestyle relay, the Hawkeyes recorded a 7:18.40 behind the efforts of Nora Kemp, Madison Stone, Olivia Frantum and Olivia Swalley.

A full day of swimming and diving starts tomorrow at 9 a.m. (CT) with preliminary races. The competition will be streamed on B1G+.
